My first experience with MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation was not a good one
I liked the coverage of the MAC Studio Fix but after using NC35 for the first few days, I noticed that it was really the wrong shade
For me this is the best powder foundation in its price range
Locally, the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is priced at 1,500php and I think the price is just right considering its quality

My first experience with MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation was not a good one. When the brand arrived in our shores many years ago, I was one of the many who queued at the counter to try on their Studio Fix Foundation which even then had already a huge following. Their tiny boutique in Glorietta 4 was always packed and the time I went there was no exception. Maybe because the sales assistants were already tired or maybe they were simply overwhelmed by the sheer number of people but I still remember that the sales assistant who attended to me was brusque instead of helpful. It was as if she could not wait to attend to the next customer. There were so many people trying on makeup that it was hard for me to squeeze in and take a look at the different shades of foundation. Before, I really thought that the MAC people were
such experts in makeup and being a beginner myself, I asked Ms. Brusque-attitude for a recommendation. She took one look at me and said 'NC35″ so that's what I ended up getting. I liked the coverage of the MAC Studio Fix but after using NC35 for the first few days, I noticed that it was really the wrong shade. It made my skin look darker. As much as I wanted the finish of the Studio Fix, there was only one MAC counter then and I was so pissed at the wrong recommendation that I did not come back until after a few years.When I finally came back, I came across a different sales representative and again asked for a recommendation. This time, without even looking at me, she recommended NC35 but I was not about to make another mistake so after trying out their different shades, I finally got my match in NC30. Since I have ...

 tried the Studio Fix Powder Foundation before, albeit in a wrong shade, I knew that this would give me the same finish. The only difference is, I looked more me in this shade than in any other shade that they have. Now, I am still a fan of MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation but I don't anymore have to ask any of their sales attendants/makeup experts for a recommendation. I just ask for my NC30 Shade and then go.The MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is presented in a 15g black sleek compact that comes in a double deck container. The bottom part is for the sponge while the top holds the powder. The cover on the other hand holds the mirror. The overall appearance is simple and understated. For me this is the best powder foundation in its price range. It's not as costly as other branded foundations but it's not cheap either. Locally, the 
MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is priced at 1,500php and I think the price is just right considering its quality. If I want to fake a flawless look, all I have to do is whip up this powder foundation. The best thing about it is that it photographs well. Without makeup, I look tired and you can almost see the fine lines on my face but thanks to this foundation, I look poreless in photographs and the lines are easily camouflaged. Regardless of the time of day, I always manage to look fresh in pictures whenever I use this. It goes on smoothly whether I use it alone, on top of concealer or over sunblock. For the product alone, I would give this product a 10. Too bad I cannot give a rating for the two assistants that I encountered in the MAC counter in Glorietta, Makati.
